These pages contain the digital photographs created by Todd Walker between 1981 up to his death in 1998. Before Photoshop and the Internet, Todd Walker created both the hardware and software to process these images.
Todd began working to realize his vision of digital photography in 1981 after receiving a handheld Casio synthesizer from his daughter, my aunt. After reverse-engineering the synthesizer, he bought an Apple IIe computer on which to experiment.
To create the software, Todd learned C++ and machine language to make the codebase process his photographs. After failing to find a suitable scanner, he made one to scan his images into his computer. The result is the digital images you see below.
While many of these images also exist as lithographs, some exist only in digital form. Many of these images measure up to 300 kilobytes at a resolution of 72 dpi (dots per square inch) and are pretty small. Keep in mind that they were created between 23 and 40 years ago.
Many of these images are left blank because we will be adding new photos on an ongoing basis. You can also sign up to receive an email notification when new photos are added to the blockchain.
